Tracy Chen- Manager

Kia ora! My name is Tracy, I am the proud owner and centre manager of Kindy Cottage.

I am a fully registered early childhood teacher, and I have been working as an early childhood teacher for 14 years. My teaching philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasises child-led learning, exploration, and collaboration. I believe that each child is unique and deserves to be respected and valued for who they are. I strive to create a warm and inviting environment where children feel safe and supported to express themselves freely through various forms of exploration.

  • Georgia

    Head Teacher

I am a fully qualified and registered teacher. I have been working in the early childhood sector for the last 11 years. I feel so privileged to be able to play such a special part in each individual child’s learning journey, and I love watching as they grow and learn throughout their time here with us. In my spare time, I love to get outdoors; I also enjoy cooking, baking, exercising and spending time with my partner, whanau and friends.

I am a NZ registered teacher. I am originally from the south part of China, and I have been living in Auckland for 5 years. I found my passion in teaching and caring for young Tamariki, so I started my study in Early Childhood Education. I have built up good relationships with our Tamariki, Kaiako and whanau in Kindy Cottage, and I enjoy working with you to support the best learning journey for our little ones!

I'm a NZ registered early childhood teacher. Growing up in a family where most members are educators, it seems teaching runs in my blood. From a young age, I've had a natural affinity for caring for children. I'm passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and nurturing the growth and development of young minds.

Beside being an early childhood teacher, I am also a badminton coach and art tutor.

  • Irene

    Caterpillar Room Teacher

I am a fully registered teacher with five years of experience in early childhood education. I believe every child is a capable, competent, and curious learner. My role is to create a rich, engaging learning environment where children feel encouraged to explore, express themselves, and connect with the world around them.

  • Zara

    Butterfly Room Teacher

I’m originally from beautiful Mangonui, Northland. As a registered early childhood kaiako, I strongly believe in the importance of building positive, lasting relationships with tamariki, their parents, and whānau. Through these connections, we gain a deeper understanding of each child’s unique funds of knowledge as well as the aspirations their whānau hold for their learning and development. I also value the role of free play in early childhood.

  • Anh

I look forward to getting to know your children and whānau and working alongside them to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
