I am a fully qualified and registered teacher. I have been working in the early childhood sector for the last 11 years. I feel so privileged to be able to play such a special part in each individual child’s learning journey, and I love watching as they grow and learn throughout their time here with us. In my spare time, I love to get outdoors; I also enjoy cooking, baking, exercising and spending time with my partner, whanau and friends.

I have been working in ECE for 5 years now. I am almost about to complete my teaching degree and become a qualified teacher. I am passionate about creating a positive and nurturing environment where tamariki can explore freely and their learning is supported. I have 3 beautiful girls who keep me busy, and along with my fiancé, Brett, we enjoy going on adventures and creating memories together as a family. I am from Syria, Aleppo city, one of the oldest, most profound cultures in the world. I have played many enjoyable roles working with kids overseas, this led me to continue my dream to be a qualified ECE teacher in NZ. My teaching philosophy is to help our tamariki improve focus, concentration, mental resilience and impulse control. I advocate for an environment of security, love, respect, and attachment, where children can flourish and develop their voices and agency.

I'm studying Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Teaching, set to graduate this April with hopes of obtaining my teacher registration by May. Growing up in a family where most members are educators, it seems teaching runs in my blood. From a young age, I've had a natural affinity for caring for children. I'm passionate about fostering a positive learning environment and nurturing the growth and development of young minds.

Over the last 13 years I have had the pleasure of working in ECE in NZ. During this time I have gained experience and knowledge about the amazing competent and capable tamariki in our lives. My greatest pleasure is to observe and support tamariki, as they gain a multitude of skills, by exploring loose parts and open-ended resources. During my free time I enjoy being creative and have recently started weaving with flax and learning how to create macramé items.

I am a fuly qualified and registered teacher. I have a 1-year-old daughter who attends Kindy Cottage. In my philosophy, I treat children as gifted and worthy individuals. I believe they follow a series of developmental milestones based on each child’s individual rate of growth.

I am originally from the south part of China. I have been living in Auckland for 5 years. I found my passion in teaching and caring for young Tamariki, so I started my study in Early Childhood Education. I have built up good relationships with our Tamariki, Kaiako and whanau in Kindy Cottage, and I enjoy working with you to support the best learning journey for our little ones!
